Project Description
চাঙঘর an escape to restore mind and body. A healing space.
The vision we have of our site is a floating scenery on the side of the river which has water and lush vegetation and big open sky that in its own way is capable of healing the body and the mind. Transforming the discarded banks into meditative paths, restful gardens floating on the water and serene areas, the space will turn into the place of rest, restoration and the close attachment to nature. It is formulated in that manner so it can fit into different situations along the banks besides acting as an escape where individuals can relax and feel well.
A location that has its breath shared with wind, the sky open to it and able to follow the way of the water tide. In this case, Here walls not as obstacles but veils-changing to delineate the horizon. The roofs are raised in order to illuminate the light. What weights us down and drowns us is steered by the river; what fills us & heals is in the garden. Breeze and water sing on The Whispering Walls and paint an audio fabric of silence so each and every gurgle, murmur and rustle can be turned into one of innumerable kinds of nice sound therapy. The patter of rain on leaves and roof are the rhythmic pieces composed to settle the mind. The earth heals itself every season: the spring outflow, summer swelter, autumn fall, winter hush, and water runs again: and men tell one another tales as they pass through the air. It is no shelter-it is a living organism. It remembers the areas you stepped in, where you laughed and where you kept quiet. And then when you come back it is different, just as you are.
