SITE          - TOP OF THE WATER TANK ROOM

REASON BEHIND CHOOSING THIS SPACE

There is a slab over any water tank room of our buildings . They attract us, they are left unused but they also can be someone’s memory , can be a very close to heart place, a hiding space to recall someone, or maybe to feel alive again. On the other side, if we talk about healing space- there are people who find a lone space in this busy crowded world. They search for a space where they can just forget their sorrows and can spend that depressed hour talking to the bird or the infinite sky over the head ,or maybe recall someone who is very close to his heart. Then our choosen site can be a ideal one in this regard.One can feel the sky here, can meditate,can read a favourite novel hearing the bird’s chirping,can just sleep under the open sky, can hear the rain’s sound under the Corrugated sheet.like Humayun Ahmed said-

KEY DESIGN IDEAS

• Seating for watching the view and spending time

• Corrugated sheet for hearing the sound of rain sitting under the roof

• A open to sky space for enjoying the sky and heal

• A water body where one can seat and enjoy the water by touching the feet into it

INTENDED HEALING TRANSFORMATION

• The abandoned space becomes a healing space

• The sad or introvert soul can find a space to heal with the environment surrounding

• The sky and birds and the view gives the opportunity to make the space to spend time with someone close.
