Project Description
Sanidhi is our placemaking intervention for the underused back-end of Sundervan, transforming it into a healing space where nature, memory, and community come together to nurture well-being. At its heart lies a calm lake, embraced by lush trees and a gentle waterfall whose sound invites reflection. A deck along the water’s edge offers a quiet spot to pause, breathe, and reconnect with nature.
To revive childhood joy, we add an adult playground with swings, climbing nets, and hammocks—blending nostalgia with stress relief. A library corner offers a peaceful escape for reading, while a small amphitheater hosts jamming sessions and performances, sparking community bonds. An interactive strangers’ corner allows two people to talk without seeing each other, creating a safe, judgment-free space for sharing.
The landscape features sensory plants and native trees that purify the air, enrich biodiversity, and strengthen Sundervan’s ecological health. All elements are crafted from recycled wood, bamboo, and ropes, blending naturally into the site’s aesthetic while minimizing environmental impact. Through these interventions, Sanidhi turns an overlooked space into a living sanctuary—where nature’s calm, playful memories, and human connection meet.
