Project Description
In Jalshiri, near the serene lakeside, rapid modernization has woven technology deeply into daily life. Yet, amid sleek devices and high-speed systems, the memory of the machinery that once powered progress has faded. The chosen site reflects this disconnection — a symbolic “negative space” where the roots of human innovation are overshadowed by present-day convenience.
This project reimagines the lakeside edge as a healing space where vintage equipment and machinery are restored, displayed, and reinterpreted. These artifacts, once tools of labor and creativity, now serve as storytellers. Through interactive installations, open workshops, and sensory experiences, visitors can touch, hear, and understand the mechanics of the past. By engaging with these objects, people rediscover the narratives of craft, industry, and human ingenuity that shaped the present.
The design draws from the site’s natural calm and historical resonance. This is not a static museum — it is a living landscape where nature and machinery coexist, each contributing to the process of healing. Here, healing happens through remembering. The past is not just archived; it is celebrated, allowing both people and the place to recover a sense of continuity. In honoring the machines that once served us, we reconnect with our collective journey — a bridge between yesterday’s innovations and tomorrow’s possibilities.
