Project Description
Healing Tapestry is a pathway in BUET’s student dormitory zone, designed for young people grieving a loved one. Aligned along the main lane between the boys’ and girls’ halls, it features a linear path through greenery, enclosed by a monumental bamboo framework draped in sheer fabric. At its center stands a Kamini tree (Murraya paniculata), chosen for its powerful fragrance and folkloric ties to departed souls. A concrete wall invites anonymous notes, forming a shared archive of remembrance. Scent—one of the strongest memory triggers—spreads as wind moves through the drapes, while shifting fabric and foliage cast spiritual patterns of light. Visitors can stroll, sit in quiet reflection, or read others’ messages, fostering empathy and easing grief. This living “memory lane” blends scent, light, and memento into a gentle journey of emotional healing.
