Project Description
Site: Abandoned pond beside Pabna Mental Hospital.
Concept: Rotation on Axis: Return to serenity
Concept Idea: Walking path designed along the central axis of the pond. At the midpoint, a fountain rises from the water, fed by small channels from both sides of the path, creating a gentle vertical water display. Users gradually connect with nature and their own inner calm
Natural Elements: Fragrant trees along the path: Sonali, Bakul, Jarul, Kaminy, Krishnachura
Engages: Sight and Smell senses.
Wind Chime: Wind Chimes sway with the breeze, creating soft, soothing sounds.
Engages: Hearing sense. Seating area beneath chimes allows users to experience mindfulness and mental peace.
Kinetic Roof: The metal kinetic sculpture gently moves with the wind, casting soft shadows and aesthetic motions.
Engages: Sight and Touch senses. Shaded Fountain.
Integration of Five Senses: Walking path textures, wind, tree fragrances, pond water, and the fountain’s gentle display. Together, these elements engage all five senses.
Design impact: The combination of natural beauty, fountain, trees, and serene environment provides mental relaxation, rejuvenation, and self-connection. Walking along the axis offers users a pleasing, lively, and peaceful experience.
