Project Description
The Therapeutic Garden project was initiated to transform the TB hospital at Khulna into an integrated healing landscape for the local community. This sensorial integrated intervention employs all five senses—sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste—as intentional modalities for healing. Deliberately chosen garden elements, including rustling leaves, scented flowers, tactile trails, edible herbs, and shade groves, are put in place around the site to generate stimulating sensory experiences that facilitate emotional healing and physical recuperation. This vision changes the hospital from a clinical facility to a healing sanctuary. Nature becomes the central focus as an agent of healing, providing an element of dignity and care that enhances well-being for patients, visitors, and staff. Through multi-sensory engagement, the garden enables resilience, comfort, and person-centered care in the healthcare setting.
