Project Description
“Healing” is a luxury in a densely populated country like Bangladesh, where many struggle to meet their basic needs. In such a reality, the word often feels distant-overshadowed by poverty, overwork, child labor, endless traffic jams, unhygienic living conditions, and countless struggles.
But healing doesn’t always come with a price tag. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a breath of fresh air, a quiet corner to rest, a kind gesture, or a touch of color in a grey day. Here, we have tried to make a small effort to bring healing space within everyone’s reach.
Sometimes, all we need is just a pause-a brief stoppage in the middle of the chaos. After a long, exhausting day at the office, perhaps it’s a place to sit and enjoy raining. After a scorching summer afternoon, maybe it’s a shaded corner where we can rest and ask ourselves, what am I running for? Sometimes, our city needs a colorful shade: a simple shelter where a homeless child can sit and dream again, remembering the colorful dreams he once had. A shade where an elderly person, getting tired from his body, can pause and recall the vibrant past he once lived.
It’s just a shade, but it’s a place to stop, to breathe, and to let our minds wander into colorful thoughts.
Our shade offers comfort in simplest form. Affordable, modular, and adaptable- can stand by a chaotic road, in a busy square, beside a calm river, or at the end of a forgotten alley.
