Project Description

Come Together Loop transforms forgotten courtyards, unused edges, and the undercroft of Caochangmen Bridge into a continuous path linking Nanjing Gulouqu Special Education School, Tengfei Kindergarten, Community Center, Entertainment Center, Playground, Training Square, Horticulture Garden, Botanic Square, Runway and Central Plaza.

The “come together” strategy works on many levels: spaces are physically joined by training trails for rehabilitation; four groups — children with disabilities, elders, office workers, and students — share activities that build social bonds; and diverse functions blend to heal both people and place. Gentle slopes, textured paving, balance beams, herbal planting, inclusive play, and planting therapy turn routine movement into shared wellness. Ecological upgrades cool, clean, and green the site.

Here, healing means coming together in body, community, and environment.
