Project Description
In a world where disconnection has become the norm, healing begins by returning to the body — and through the body, to nature. This project explores how natural elements can stimulate and restore the five human senses, creating a holistic space of healing. By aligning earth, water, fire, wind, and sky with touch, smell, sound, sight, and taste, the space becomes not just a site of beauty — but a medium for sensory restoration. Each element is carefully composed to comfort one or more senses, awakening the body’s innate connection with the natural world. The goal is to create a sensory landscape with layering of grass, soil, sand, pebbled with flowing water, where people can slow down, notice, and heal — not through prescription, but through presence.
Seating are designed not only for people but also to offer rest to stray animals. Perforated traditional walls are introduced to create shifting patterns of light throughout the day. Fragrant flowers and easily edible fruit trees are planted, enriching the space with scent and sustenance. Rather than dictating how healing should occur, the space simply invites stillness, presence, and feeling — allowing each visitor to rediscover wholeness in their own time, in their own way.
This is not a site of spectacle, but of sensation. A landscape where healing unfolds not through intervention — but through attunement.
