Project Description
This idea started with a spot in CUET that has always meant a lot to me. People call the campus the Green Heaven, and it truly feels like that. The soft hills, the trees, and the way the light falls on the grass all make it special. There is one place in the new library that has the most beautiful view. The space around the library building is stunning, but it is abandoned and closed off. No one goes there. Whenever I go to the library, I notice it. On rainy days, it becomes something magical. I hear the sound of rain on the ground, smell the fresh earthy scent, and see the green become even richer. I imagine how nice it would be to sit there with a book and feel surrounded by nature. That is how our design began. We wanted to create a place where people can sit among plants and feel like they are part of them. A small wind chime above adds a soft, homely sound. The spiral staircase is designed vertically for sitting at different heights, so visitors can see the trees, the rain, and the sky from different angles. It is a space to pause, breathe, and let yourself heal.
