Project Description
This space is rooted in remembrance, reflection, and renewal. On the grounds of Milestone School—once filled with laughter—tragedy struck when a plane crash claimed the lives of young students. What remained was sorrow, but today, it becomes a living memorial—a place where memory and nature come together to offer solace and hope. Visitors are welcomed by serene landscapes, shaded paths, and the calming sounds of wind and water. This gentle environment invites reflection and reminds us of the resilience of the community. At the heart of the space is a memorial bridge over a reflective waterbody, connecting the two wings of the school that were once torn apart. From the roof, the names of the children are projected in light, etched delicately into the structure, casting their memory onto the ground below—a moment of pause and reverence.
Together, the bridge and stairs form an infinity loop, symbolizing that although these lives were brief, their impact is everlasting. They remain present in every step, every breath of wind, every moment shared. From this central point, a winding path leads to play areas and quiet seating spaces, where life continues—where children laugh, families gather, and wildflowers grow. Here, grief softens into grace, sorrow into joy. This space doesn’t silence memory; it lets it live—in light, in movement, in laughter, and in love.
