Project Description
The project explores architecture as an instrument of sensory manipulation through direct light, repetition, and controlled spatial rhythm. Focused shafts of light penetrate through narrow apertures, guiding attention and influencing movement while creating dramatic contrasts between illumination and shadow. Repetitive spatial elements reinforce a sense of psychological control, echoing the rhythmic and instrumental influence
Partially submerged beneath water, the structure also celebrates silence and introspection. The surrounding water filters sound, softens light, and creates diffused reflections that contrast with the intensity of direct illumination above. This interplay between light, shadow, rhythm, and silence transforms the architecture into an immersive perceptual environment where sensory experience is carefully conditioned and emotionally charged.
