Project Description
Dhaka is one of the most noise-polluted cities in the world. Sound can heal, and it can also harm. In the busy roads of Dhaka, sound pollution is largely created by traffic horns. Sound is a powerful tool for communicating messages. These negative, chaotic sounds can be arranged within a space to create a transitional experience of the city’s sound pollution. I have imagined this space as a progression from low-pressure sound to high-pressure sound, which gradually fades away over time like music. It includes variations of upper pitch, lower pitch, and fading intensity.Through this approach, negative or chaotic sound can also be transformed into an experience that conveys a message to society and the world.
