Project Description

This project transforms the instrumental Jantar Mantar from Hirak Rajar Deshe by Satyajit Ray into a surreal architectural machine inspired by Salvador Dalí and René Magritte.

The structure explores authoritarian control through rhythm, repetition, and psychological manipulation. Magritte inspired anonymous figures symbolize collective obedience, while Dalí inspired melting forms and distorted spaces destabilize time and memory. The project translates music and surrealism into a dreamlike spatial experience of control, identity, and perception.
