Project Description
Inspired by the music ‘JANTAR MANTAR’, the project reflects a tense and unsettling atmosphere defined by themes of control, power, and the endless rat race of human existence. The music evokes a sense of darkness—where humanity becomes trapped in illusion, echoing the essence of Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and the gradual destruction of human consciousness. Yet, within this darkness emerges resistance, a force of liberation that restores hope and renewal.
Architecturally, this idea is translated into a maze-like spatial experience divided into two distinct worlds, separated by a long wall. Those who survive the darkness navigate through the maze by following light (a realm of clarity and awakening). In contrast, those consumed by illusion are misled by deceptive stairs, dead ends, and blank facades ( my design has some stairs that leads to nothing) unable to transcend into the reality beyond. Through this spatial narrative, the project attempts to portray the condition of humankind—its vulnerability to illusion, struggle for truth, and the possibility of redemption.
